1. 何謂葡萄酒
葡萄酒Wine,其定義是" 葡萄汁發酵過的酒精性飲料"。
原料必需完全是葡萄,如果是其他果汁發酵釀造而來的,譬如說桃子,黑莓等等,那就得叫Peach wine, blackberry wine 等等。
葡萄做的酒因為實在是太太普及了,所以就不叫Grape Wine 而直接稱之為Wine 了。我們講Wine,就是指葡萄酒了。
葡萄酒其實可以進一步蒸餾,而得到另一種烈酒,稱之為白蘭地Brandy。但白蘭地跟葡萄酒味道差異太大...

葡萄酒,依其品種(Varietal)跟釀造方式,可分成五大類。
- 香檳Champagne, Sparkling wine, or Cava (in Spanish)
- 白酒White, Blanc(French)
- 紅酒Red, Rouge(French), Rojo (Spanish)
- 玫瑰紅Rose(發音是發成Rosai, sai 音節加重音)
